Style
The Bordeaux dining chair has a refined apron with a simple scalloped design and gracious legs in the cabriole shape. It has a classic French provincial look that would suit any formal or semi-formal dining room setting.
Upholstery
The back of the chair can be in cane or upholstered as shown here with the timber frame around. Alternatively, the whole of the back can be fully upholstered to reveal none of the timber frame. The fabric is customisable. We have a huge range of fabrics for you to choose from. We are happy to provide fabric samples and help you choose the right fabric for your dining room.
Materials
This chair is made from high quality European beech which is the traditional timber throughout Europe for chairs as it is extremely strong and yet fine grained so that it allows for very refined carving details. We also offer a fine selection of Louis XV European beech French dining tables.
Finish
Our chairs are hand polished so we can match the finish to your table or furniture. The finish on this chair has been customised to match the customers pre-exiting oak timber. The other popular timber finish we do is the walnut timber finish.
All of our timber finishes are hand done which allows us to create a soft antique patina effect so that the recessed areas have more stain and the surface areas are lighter. This gives a sense of depth that no factory finish can achieve. This chair can also come in a painted finish such as antique white.
