Back in October 2011, I had the pleasure and honor to design a set of unique Louis armchairs for Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip. The chairs were specially made for their river cruise on the Brisbane River during their visit to Australia.

The fine floral and leaf carving seen in the pictures above were carefully crafted out of a solid European timber that is extremely hard to carve. The cabriole legs of the armchair have an exquisite shape with beautiful carved details on the foot.

The letters embroidered with fine Japanese gold thread and over 12,000 stitches in each motif, brings a personalized touch to this unique item.

Both chairs have been specially gilded to perfection. They are also covered in a rich blue velvet.
